What is BuaChat?+
BuaChat is a WhatsApp automation platform built for African enterprises. It automates your WhatsApp customer communication, captures leads automatically and escalates complex queries to your human team — so your business is always responsive, even outside working hours.
What is agent handover?+
Agent handover is the moment when your WhatsApp bot transfers a conversation to a human team member. This happens when a customer's query is too complex for the bot, or when the customer specifically requests to speak to a person. Your team receives the full conversation history so they can pick up seamlessly.
Which channels does BuaChat support?+
BuaChat currently operates on WhatsApp. WhatsApp is the primary communication channel across Africa and where your customers already are. Additional channels may be added in future.

Setup & Onboarding

Do I need technical knowledge to use BuaChat?+
No. Spesh Capital handles the entire setup — bot flows, channel connections, agent onboarding and configuration. Your team just logs in and starts managing conversations.
How long does it take to get started?+
Standard deployments go live within 14 days of agreement and receipt of required information from your side.
What do I need to provide to get started?+
A dedicated WhatsApp Business number, access to your Facebook Business Manager, and your business content — FAQs, product information, contact details and any specific automation requirements.

Pricing & Plans

Are chatbot setup fees included in the monthly plan?+
No. Monthly plans cover platform access, management and support. Chatbot setup is a separate once-off fee. Contact us for a custom quote based on your requirements.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?+
Yes. You can change your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
Is there a minimum contract period?+
No long-term contracts. BuaChat operates month to month. Cancel anytime with 30 days notice.
What are platform add-ons?+
Add-ons let you extend your plan without upgrading to the next tier. You can add an extra WhatsApp number at M1,500/month, or top up your bot conversations at M500 per 1,000 conversations. Conversation credits never expire.

Support

What happens if something breaks?+
All plans include ongoing monitoring and support. If something breaks we fix it — that's what your monthly retainer covers. Starter and Growth clients reach us via email. Business and Enterprise clients get phone support.
Do you offer team training?+
Yes. Every new client receives a full onboarding walkthrough for their team before going live.

WhatsApp Specific

Do I need a Facebook Business Manager account?+
Yes. A Facebook Business Manager account is required to connect your WhatsApp Business number to BuaChat. If you don't have one, we'll guide you through the setup process.
Can I use my existing WhatsApp number?+
Yes, but it must be migrated from the regular WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business App to the WhatsApp Business API. We handle this migration as part of onboarding. Note that chat history from the old app will not be transferred.
Can my customers tell they're talking to a bot?+
Your bot is given a custom name and personality tailored to your brand. Customers interact naturally. When a conversation needs a human, it escalates seamlessly to your team via the BuaChat inbox.
